My Personal Experience with Wealthy Affiliate
Before
About a year ago I almost spent my hard earned $25 on a blogging set-up. The blogging product I was going to buy was supposed to make money for you easily. The company was Empower Network. Note: I am not here to bash any companies, but I will tell the truth about what I experience with them as I review them. It’s possible that EN has worked for some people, but I did not see how it could work ethically, and I would have had to spend much more than $25 to get any training. As I was trying to decide whether to buy the product or not, I read more EN reviews. Somehow one of the review pages led to WA, and that is how I found it.
When I found out that Wealthy Affiliate had a monthly membership (for Premium), I got cold feet and almost left, as it brought back memories of the many times I had been scammed online. Besides, I barely had any money to pay for a membership. I was looking for ways to earn money, not spend it.
At the same time, I remember how impressed I was that Kyle and Carson had briefly spoke to me when I was brand new. I still get personal help whenever I need it. I thought it was really cool that the company owners were personally in touch with people. But then the suspicious part of me kicked in and I became more skeptical. I thought they were just another two incredibly smart guys making money off of gullible newbies. Sorry guys, no offense!

There is an affiliate program for Wealthy Affiliate, and it’s for those people who wish to share and promote Wealthy Affiliate, such as my website Work Online Scam Free does. However, I do have another website about lupus.
You can build a website around nearly any hobby, passion or interest.
So, no you wouldn’t be sharing Wealthy Affiliate unless you decided to choose that route. 🙂 There are many members who have businesses completely unrelated to Internet Marketing. Some examples are, websites helping people who have anxiety, websites selling and sharing makeup tips, parenting websites and so on. The sky is the limit!

How much is it to join

It is free to sign up and check it out and see if it is for you. There is no limit on how long you can stay free.
To join as a member it is $19 for the first month and $49 for each month thereafter. The only other cost is a domain name which is $10 to $12 per year. You only buy this when ready and there are no other things to buy. No upsells (meaning, no other surprises or being told you need to buy this or that). Everything you need to make money online/build your own business is at Wealthy Affiliate.

To answer your questions, you earn money through WA by promoting affiliate products. Yes, money is earned by products being bought and sold. You find your passion, then you build a business around it with the affiliate products.
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by is “money made from information being bought and sold.” If you could clarify that for me, I’d be happy to answer it.

Hi, Jen. I have been in an online company and have paid nearly 500 dollars in an they keep wanting more and more money and it seems like I am getting the raw end of the deal the products are extremely over priced. They keep upgrading their systems and I am unable to make any money unless Ib buy the cheapest product which is another 675 dollars, not including the 100 dollar monthly fee to be a member plus fees for promoting yourself.
I am at a loss for words and money. I know there is a lot of money to be made on the internet but I don’t want anyone to go through what I went through it isn’t honest or right to manipulate people for money. I have seen your video on how easy it was to make a website and I am looking forward to joining.

I am so sorry you had to go through all of that and spend so much money without receiving what you were supposed to in return. A lot of companies do that.
Wealthy Affiliate isn’t the only legitimate company out there, but it is one that has everything you need to create, run a business, earn money and do something that you love for under $50 per month. It’s not just a membership, it gives you the training, tools and community support to help you when you feel discouraged.

I appreciate your welcome. I read your page and it was so weird because we have backgrounds that are so familiar. For instance, I belong to WA. I think they are a great company and I have never heard a bad word against them. I had a problem with the monthly fee. not that they don’t deserve it or that they don’t have value, but I just can’t afford it right now. It bugs me when they say ‘check it out Its free to join” then you join and then it changes to “oh yea its only free for a certain amount of time”. That is the only problem I have.
I have fallen for every scam in the book. I should be able to make money from Look at me I pay for scams! LOL
I am sorry to hear about your health problems. I too have Lupus SLE and Fibromyalgia and all of the pain that goes with it. Like you I am not looking for a pity party but this illness is part of me and has helped shape my life.

I agree that Wealthy Affiliate is a great company, one of the best online training programs to teach online success. I can understand your point about the “free to join” but then they ask you to upgrade to $19 for the first month and $47 for each month thereafter, but remember that you don’t have join as a Premium member and pay anything. You can stay free as long as you like, though you won’t have access to the awesome live video training by Jay.
I was wary too of the price and thought Kyle and Carson were just some more Internet “gurus” making a lot of money off people. Sure, they make a lot of money, but they also personally help people, even in chat, they will help non members. My point is that they truly care and what you get for the monthly fee I have not seen anywhere else online.

The answer depends on the person, if they follow the training, and the amount of time they put into their business. I’m not trying to dance around your question, it’s just difficult to give you a number. You could earn a few hundred dollars a month or a few thousand dollars a month. In my opinion, you earn more faster if you’re Premium, but I tell people to stay free until they decide if WA is for them.
Some members earn a part time-income, and some earn a full-time income. Full-time earners are almost always Premium members, mainly because the training is more in depth, you have 24/7 access to one on one help, live chat, private messaging, live webinars and much more.
