Reshipping
Scammers use Internet job boards to advertise receiving/reshipping jobs. You are asked to accept a package delivery and then re-mail it to a foreign address. The package you are receiving is usually filled with illegal goods that they want you to redeliver.
The company will usually want you to pay for the shipping. They will tell you that they will pay you back, but this is not true. If by chance they do give you payment, it is with a counterfeit check or money order.
If you are unsure of any money order payment you have received from any type of job, please verify that your money order is authentic.
You can do this by calling the Money Order Verification System at 1-866-459-7822.

Hi Jen…what do I do with a job offer. They claim it is not a scam. It is a reshipping business. I get to receive packages and parcels and reship them to foreign addresses. They also provided me with a website to log on and do my tasks. It really sounds so legal and they even claimed it is legal. I did not disclose my credit card info or social security or bank info. So how do I really determine if it is legal? Thanks.

Hello.
To be on the safe side, you need to verify the business. Could you tell me the name of the company and I can let you know? You can reply to this message or email me at: Jen@workonlinescamfree.com.
Reshipping them to foreign addresses seems very sketchy to me. Did this company say how you would be paid? By check? I ask this because most reshipping scams pay by fake checks.
I’m so glad you didn’t give any of your personal info. Did they ask for it? What are they asking you to do in order to do this job?
I look forward to hearing from you and I appreciate your question.
