Test Websites and Earn Money

 

UserTesting.com is seeking user testers to visit websites and evaluate how easy they are to use. Get paid $10 to $15 per test. Test websites and earn money.

The clients of User Testing are website owners that need to know how easy their site is to use. Your feedback helps them know what improvements they need to make, so visitors and future customers can have the best experience possible.

 

How Much Can You Earn & How Do You Get Paid?

User Testing pays you $10 for each completed website, and $15 for each completed mobile test.

Be aware that you don’t get paid if the website owner isn’t satisfied with the job you did. This rarely happens and shouldn’t be a concern if you follow instructions and give good feedback.

PayPal is the only payment method that User Testing uses, so you’ll need to have a PayPal account. Payments are sent to you 7 days after each completed test.

Requirements 

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a microphone. If you don’t have a microphone, Amazon has some very inexpensive ones. One of the lowest prices I found for a good quality headset that User Testing recommends is only about $13. Check it out here.
• Must have your own PC or Mac (Mac OS X 10.7 or higher), a broadband Internet connection, and a microphone.

 

Computer Requirements:

PC

• Windows XP or higher operating system.
• At least 1 GB of total RAM and 0.5 GB of available RAM.
• At least 5 GB of free disk space.

• You must use one of the following browsers:
• Chrome
• Firefox 3.5 or higher.
• Internet Explorer 8 or higher.
• Safari 4 or higher.

 

MAC

• OS X 10.7 Operating System or higher.
• At least 1 GB of total RAM and 0.5 GB of available RAM.
• At least 5 GB of free desk space.
• You must use one of the following browsers:
• Chrome
• Internet Explorer 8 or higher.
• Firefox 3.5 or higher.
• Safari 4 or higher.

 

Things to Know

• You’re paid 7 days after each completed and accepted test.
• PayPal is the only payment method.
• User Testing isn’t a get rich quick scheme, and sometimes there isn’t steady work.
• At times, you may not receive any tester jobs.
• If you want to take mobile tests, you’ll need one of the following:
• iPad.
• iPhone.
• Android Phone.
• Android Tablet.
• You’ll only receive tester job opportunities if where you live matches the target audience of that particular tester job.
• User Testing states that they have more testers than they do jobs.
• It helps if you’re good at  thinking out loud and noticing confusing things such as a difficult to navigate menu, no price list, no contact or customer support page, etc.
